There are lots of talented framebuilders' wares on display at NAHBS, and one of my favorites is Dave Wages, the owner and sole framebuilder at
Ellis Cycles. Dave won "Best of Show" at the 2010 NAHBS in Richmond, and his work is flawless. Here's a recent example. It's a polished Reynolds 953 stainless steel frameset. Note the clean brazing and lack of any file marks on the polished surfaces around the lug shorelines. He honed his skills at Serotta and Waterford before hanging out his shingle.
