I currently ride a 2009 Giant Defy 2 which has Sora/Tiagra components. The bike rides great and feels comfortable to me, but I'm starting to buy into the BF Kool-Aid of needing at least 105 components. I've been thinking about picking up a '10 Allez Comp with 105's on clearance at an LBS. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade, or am I just wasting my time?
They claim they can use less aluminum because of the carbon thus making it lighter. What it really comes down to is just bling. If you are comfortable on your bike now you shouldnt upgrade. If you must I think you should look at a CAAD9 or CAAD10 they should be in the same price range. Also I believe they are a much better bike.
