I have given up trying to seek out touring partners (with the exception of my son). I would inevitably make all the plans and arrangements only to have eveyone back out of the trip. I enjoy the solo aspect of touring, having the flexibility to stop and go when you please and establish your own pace. At days end, I've often find other tourers to connect with for conversation and dinner.
