All 7 of the RDs above looked pretty much like the ones in the above thread, minus the very nasty corrosion.
That special tool is only needed for some of the GT series RDs...if you don't have the tool I wouldn't recommend trying to remove that recessed nut beech333 indicated. Too much chance of scratching the heck out of something.
