Most bike brands are made there, too, by now.

many times it is the Taiwanese based company that subcontracts manufacturing out to a mainland China based facility.

the Sram/sachs hub used in Mk3 bike is wider ratio difference, than the AW3
It was the 1st 3 by 2 6 speed hybrid.. splines on those is same as 3 speed hubs,
just made to hold 2 of them..

They also make a cassette driver/3 speed for 7, 8, 9 speed cassettes over the years.

Current BWR hub is custom manufactured by Sturmey Sun Race for Brompton.

another wide range 3 .. 1/2 stepped with 13 & 15t cogs, adopting Shimano cassette spline.

You can learn a lot buying a copy of the Brompton Book, published last fall ..

I did..
