The only time you should accept her assistance is if your bike and/or body are broken enough that riding just isn't possible. You should still bitсh and moan that you had to get her involved at all. It is OK to call home to say you will be late because of a crash or mechanical problem. But it is important to turn down all ride offers if there is any way for you to make it on your own.
I don't like bothering anyone unless I have no chance of sorting a situation out on my own and flats do not fall into that category since I carry tubes, and a patch kit so one way or the other I'm rolling home. The only time I called my wife to pick me up was from the hospital after I got hit by a car and that was just so I can get my bike from the local precinct.
