Well if drinking some beer and fixing your bike is of interest to you (I know it sounds great to me!) you'd be much better suited to a fixer-upper rather than a Cinelli that will likely (hopefully considering the price) be in really good shape and just need to be wiped down with a soft cloth.


Another thing to consider is that if you went and bought a really nice expensive minty looking bike like that Cinelli, would you be afraid to mess it up? L'Eroica as I'm sure you know is a rough ride. Whatever bike you ride is at least going to get pretty messy over the course, and most likely will see some gravel and pebbles and stuff flying up off the road and potentially nicking up the pretty paint. Make sure you're OK with submitting a really pretty bike to that kind of torture if that's the route you go.
