What's fitting, though, is that the seller has a reputation around town for swooping in and offering more than the asking price — after the first person to respond offered the full asking price and was already en route. I lost out on a sweet $100 Prelude that way. Maybe that was the seller's way of paying it forward, without realizing it whatsoever.
