So does that mean you can't really know the quality of a tire till the end of its life? IOW, a durability issue?
Really? Pretty much yes. You can ask friends but tire preferences are voodoo related.
All high end tires are pretty good. There are some construction and materials choices that make the small differences but that will have to wait as I am out the door for a ride. I will check back later.
so that's what that was. It was an issue on the new Michelin's, but not the GP4Ks. If anything the GP4Ks were craazy sticky out of the box. They tore up a paper towel when I tried to give them a wipe down after my first ride.
