I'll have to remember that one, but I suspect the response would be "yeah, but you don't have to do that ride, just ride around here instead".
Re: Colnago:
Since you're in Italy your local viewpoint will be different. Over here in the U.S. I've found two lines of thought on Colnago:
1) Highly regarded;
2) Not so much.
I'm in the 1st camp and am always wondering why some say their Master or Master Light or Master X Light are not race bikes, I don't understand that. But maybe that's just me.
My impression of L'Eroica is that it is about the race bikes, where PBP is about the ride and distance. If I am ever fortunate enough to enter either L'Eroica or PBP my bike choice for either would be very different.
For PBP I'd go for a distance bike in a comfortable yet fast format, medium to wider tires, clinchers, set up for Randonneurs.
For L'Eroica I'd try very hard to find something older than 1970, preferably something from the year I was born (1955), or the oldest race style bike I currently had. For tires I'd try to run tubulars, skinny ones, and I'd carry several spares crossed and looped over my shoulders and across my back. I might bend the rules and sneak a Road Morph pump into my jersey somehow just to be able to pump up the tires sufficiently.
Find a Bianchi if you can, but any of those you've mentioned so far would do in my opinion (yes, even that Colnago Master provided it is older than the airbrushed era).
I'm curious about that Olmo, moreso than the Cinelli, but for the record I wouldn't kick either of them out of the garage.
And, please, post a ride report _when_ you do the ride.
