Riding IN the snow would require a bit more snow. It's fun, tough but fun.

Glare ice (frozen sea / lake / river) is even more fun, though a bit upsetting at first. We've had too much snow this year, but a couple of years ago conditions were perfect for ice riding. No snow at all, freshly frozen sea. It only lasted for a couple of days before snowfall. It was tricky to get going, even with studded tyres, but once you got a bit of speed it was a blast. Braking and especially turning took the better half of a medium sized bay.
