Beware the hardware store for any critical application. Typically the bolts are very soft without even any grade markings. Auto parts store or bolt supply might be better.

This bolt is intended to hold a plastic bottom bracket cable guide in place. Strength is not an issue and a plastic bolt would serve just as well. For that matter standard grade bolts will serve for nearly any bicycle application.
