I have an 80s Dawes touring bike w/ canti brakes, Reynolds 531 tubing, reasonably fancy lugs (but only one water bottle mount!). I bought it as a frameset, and used it as my main commuter this fall. Interestingly, when I was in London a couple of years ago, the vintage bikes I saw most often were Dawes, not Raleighs. Here's one:
