Unfortunately the cost of even a small battery (24v 7ah) is in the $1500 range.
for my needs, I would not be willing to pay double or triple the price , just to get the same type of battery , whos only advantage is being able to do a quick charge in under 1 hour. Now, if they can come up with the same battery that can do that quick charge and has double the A/h output , in a simliar size and weight of the cheaper battery , then I would consider it.
If I can get a 48 volt/20 A/.h lifepo4 for about $500 delivered..aint no way Id pay $ 1500 just to have the quick charge capability. Id rather spend $1000 and purchase 2 lifepo4 packs at 20 A./h each , which should allow 50 + miles of travel time...Anyone that needs to have the ability to travel on their bicycles, 50 miles or more everyday , may need to look into getting a gas powered scooter :** .
