As already mentioned, I would just ride it and see. Get pedals, shoes, a pump, a couple of inner tubes, and a patch kit. Maybe the shop can do a quick check on the wheels to make sure the spoke tension is balanced. The tires the bike comes with are probably good enough, but you can start to explore replacement options once you start riding.
