These are Cateye light sets. I have used both sets at some point in the past. The larger set is older and used D cell batteries the black one with the round lens used C cells. The block generator is a Soubitez and was used for a while as a secondary light on my newspaper delivery bike.

The Cateye side and handlebar mounted are still available in one of the LBS here. I got the side mounted lights as part of my collection cause it's too bulky for my commuter bicycles.
