Wheel advice (old MTB wheels)

I got a bargain off ebay, a mid 90s Saracen Sahara Elite SE for £26. It's got Tange double butted tubing (well, the main tubes, I guess), The chainstays are long enough and its got rack braze ons, so I'm going to convert it to an MTB tourer for rougher ground than my 700c tourer can take.
The bike comes with Weinman Bontrager B3C wheels with Exage hubs. I'm guessing they are okay, but probably not that good.
I'm thinking of swapping them for a pair of nice looking pair of Rigida Turbo 90s with Parallax hubs. As I said, they look nice, but they are old (I was given them), and I don't know if they are any good or not.
I've also got a spare pair of GT wheels from my GT LTS 3000ds. I'm not sure of the rims, though the hubs are prorietry GT.

Anyone had any experience with the Rigida turbo? They look really nice with a convex rim (can't find any pictures on Google), but I have no idea if they are any good or not.

Thanks

Phil
