That's true. You can take the bike to a frame guy and have him spread the raer triangle for you, and that will make wheel removal much easier. But we're only talking 2 millimeters on each side. Most people just live with it.
As kabex said, upgrading to a whole 8 spd set up is really inexpensive.
Thanks for the advice. Would having the rear triangle spread cost more than upgrading to an 8 speed? How big of a deal is it to squeeze in the 130mm into the 126mm spacing? 4mm in total doesn't sound like that much but as the other user said, aluminum isn't that durable especially with the vibrations. Not sure if I would want to take that chance. I'm just on a REALLY tight budget. College student, no job, and having to pay for school supplies. Any additional advice would be great - thanks.
