building Tom's Raleigh International

I recently acquired a 1970's Raleigh International frame and fork. I think I have most of what I need to turn it into a complete bicycle. The current question is what to do for a front wheel and front brake.

I've decided that for now, the rear wheel will be built on a Shimano "roller brake" hub with a 9-speed cassette.

I'd like the front to be a drum brake or disk brake hub. But there doesn't seem to be a way of putting a disk brake caliper on a fork without the fittings for it. Is this true?

So then I'll probably buy a Sturmey Archer drum brake front hub. Any other suggestions?
