So no one thinks having hub brakes on this is nuts or anything? It adds a bit of weight, but I hope the reliability and predictability in braking is worth the weight penalty. I've never had drum brakes, so I'm really excited about this.
Wanting to try something different is valid enough reason for me, but do drum brakes really offer braking that is THAT much better or efficient? I understand they're better in the rain, but aside from that I don't really like the idea of using them on a bike designed for rim brakes.
What color are you having the frame painted, Tom?
