The weight weenies have deemed them unsuitable, and so they are relegated to people who just think they're cool. There's nothing wrong with them. I'm planning on building a road bike with dual Sturmey drum brakes. I can't wait to see the weight weenies' looks of shock when I keep up with their "cabron fibre" on it.
