I'm surprised at that Sturmey-Archer hub in lieu of a Shimano 3-speed! If it is original to the bicycle, it bears a useful date code expressed in two sets of two-digit numbers.
My Bedford isn't quite as pretty as the ones in this thread, but it is a great rider. I plan to find better 26x1.95 tires for it that will really accentuate its pleasant ride.
