I had my own Oh S***! moment, in late November. My wife and I just got back on Saturday evening from a week in Cancun and I raced cyclo cross on Sunday morning. Warming up I blasted down a steep bank and felt I was riding too fast to make a turn so I reached down to the drops to grab a brake lever. As soon as I got down low, the front wheel hit a rut and I was launched over the bars onto my head. Took a few moments to realize I wasn't paralyzed. Being the fool I am, after pulling the dirt and grass from the helmet vents, I raced. It was my worst finish of the season but I'll take it versus the consequences.
