i'm all for supporting the LBS, however..... when i finally switched to clipless pedals, I was able to buy my shoes, pedals and neoprene booties (hate that word) all for less the LBS wanted for just the shoes!

LBS is great for things i need "right now". whatever is needed to keep me rolling safely: tools, spokes, brake pads, tubes, lights etc. I go online for stuff I'd like to have someday, and will sacrifice immediacy for price.
