Yes, there are a lot of quality wheel builders out there. Yes, it is not rocket science. Wheel building is more of a craft than a cookbook recipe though.

So true (hah hah). I'm hamfisted and can't do any of that work. Replacing a spoke was a comical thing to watch on my mountain bike repair recently. I leave the artwork to those that are good at it.

Keep up all the good work. I think the reason more people don't get into it is because of the incredibly low margins and massive amount of customer sat issues.

I don't do too well with "You told me these would weigh 1440 grams and they came in at 1480 grams and that's after I weighed them twice at two different times of day. What are you going to do about it?"

I'll tell you EXACTLY what I would tell him to do with his QR skewer.
