Rode Saturday and Sunday. Sunday it was crazy. Almost had a head on with a large white truck, trying to go around 2 roadies side by side coming the other way...of course we all hit the same spot at the same time. I thought the guy would slow down, instead he sped up and swerved between us at around 50 mph...it was close enough I knew he could make it, but my nerves did react to how close his ton of steel was to my fragile human form balanced on two wheels. And that was one of many encounters, with newbie riders (stop yakking and LOOK where you're going, fergawds sake) farm machines with discs the size of volkswagons taking up the entire country road, other impatient cagers....I stayed OFF the bike today, and shortened my ride a bit yesterday. Bless our Vets, but its also beer and barbeque!
