First commute since about mid December, and man was it challenging. -11F and sunny with winds from the NE @ 3mph. This is definitely the coldest commute I've ever had. I was well dressed, but still hope I never have to ride in temps this cold again. I was definitely very slow. Last semester on a slow day I would average 14mph. This morning my average was 11.6mph.
I also took a minor fall on a side street that had ice underneath some snow. My studded tires were no match for that. I was alright, but I broke my mirror and light mount off my bike. Unfortunately I have no way to fix them here, so I'm probably gonna end up asking my friend for a ride.

If I didn't break those things, I would have no problems riding home. My mirror is important, but I definitely need my light mount because it will be dark when I'll be riding home. I plan to fix those ASAP and be back on the road commuting tomorrow.
