Listen you stupid Freds, trust your old Uncle Pcad on this, he needs all the help he can get, and yes, the deeper section rims are indeed a tiny bit faster, and at times the difference seems rather noticeable. They do help, particularly when your nose is in the wind @ 25+ mph.
