From my point of view it looked like the typical newbie crash. Rider A leaned into Rider B. Rider B didn't like this so he leaned away from Rider A and they both hit the deck (think dominos). Luckily nobody else got caught up in it (going pretty slow). If Rider B had just leaned back into Rider A they would have been OK. Good argument for bump drills.
