I'm surprised at all the positivity towards this, it really doesn't seem all that impressive to me. They went on a supported tour through a beautiful country. I think that this is awesome and it's something that I would love to do but I don't think that there is anything particularly "epic," about it. Now if this had been a self supported tour on fixed gears that would have been much more interesting/impressive to me.
