You can lower the nose on your saddle maybe 1 degree, that can help. Just make sure that it doesn't make you slide forward and put too much pressure on your hands.
There are a lot of variables. If, for example, his saddle is 2cm too high, lowering it will actually relieve weight on the area since the legs won't be stretching to meet the bottom of the stroke.
Also, sometimes tipping the saddle up can relieve more pressure than tipping it down. Everyone's anatomy and fit are different. I agree that many things can and should be checked in case a solution can be found, but we just have to be careful with the assumptions.
This best way to relieve pressure is to put out more power though, because then more of your weight is moved to your shoes. So, try just going faster all the time
