Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

The beefier Vitus 181 tubing should be ideal for a loaded up tourer like that Gitane.
Canti brakes also makes a lot of sense for that bike. Later Gitane design and graphics is so cool too.
Tell us how it rides once you get it loaded up and trekking!
BTW, a lot of these 80's and later French bikes usually have English threaded BBs.
