It appears I may have to go with an old parallel plate front derailleur. I don't wish to use a braze on to a clamp, and/or not to a clamp that needs a shim. Any ideas? With an Ergo rear, I may settle immediately for an old Campy NR front. It's for a modern custom randonneur. Thanks in advance,
You can start by telling us what speed the drivetrain is. I won't mention how ridiculous your requirement for it not to be an adapter is.
