There was only one incident in our race. Some kid clipped his pedal through a corner, which is hard to understand considering how wide the turns are, but managed to stay upright long enough to become perpendicular to the field and bumped by several other teen racers. However, he stayed upright until two seconds later, when the tiniest little eight-year-old gently bumped his rear wheel. Kid finally went down, but got right back on the bike.

I saw one crash in Cat5 and one in the womens' race, I think. The Cat5 one happened approaching that big sweeper after the start/finish, where the pavement really sucks. The sound was horrendous.
