honestly i'd find a bike co-op that has used road double cranksets

even if you have to buy a bb to respace the crank spindle, it would still be a $15 fix or so to a problem that really isn't worth fixing.

unless he had ridiculously nice parts on his madison, it's not worth putting 80 dollars into with pake cranks.

get some ebay auction specials for 40 bucks or something cheap and used.
