By "I would love to race it on the track (not competitively), but there isn't any track where I live.", I think he means that he'd like to train on the track.
For the record, I think this bike is completely freaking overkill. Taking the "track bike" idea do it's illogical extreme. The bike looks hot, but will be totally uncomfortable when actually used on the street. Not to mention the 53t chainring. The ONLY time I've seen a 53t chainring on a track bike was when Olympian Kent Bostick came to race at our track.
This is like one of those "race" cars that never see a track. Only car shows and weekly GTGs (get togethers)
I don't understand the "when I do something I don't do it half-ass." comment. He should have never endeavored to make a
track racing bike in the first place. I think he should have made a fixed gear or a road bike.
