Absolutely. The thing about saying "on your left", is that folks move in the wrong direction and step right out in front of you. When I say "on your left," all folks hear is "left" and that's the direction they step. When I ring the bell, they automatically move right. I don't know why that is, but I suspect it's just brain/word association.
