Your situation is very similar to how I ended up with my wife. We were not high school sweethearts, we met in college, dated, and broke up after 7 years. We dated others for a while, but for some insane reason she wanted me back. I had to drop a girl I was seeing for a few months who was a real sweetheart. It sucked. Three months later we were engaged.
If she's the one, you'll know it, so give her time, go easy, and be prepared to move on if she doesn't feel the same way.
I love stuff like this.
