Why wait. It's only cold on the way down, and I am sure you can come prepared for that. The weather of late has been good for a night ride, at least up to the shack. It is really nice if done around a full moon, but any time is good. Have done it a couple times, solo, but would be willing to go along with anyone wanting company. Was up GMR about 4 weeks ago watching the Space Station go over, when a large group of riders went by. Must have been a local club, all using lights. Never did find out how far up they went, but we were up at the first saddle for quite a while and they never came past us on their way back down. Mr. Beanz helped put together the ride to the Village back in November, maybe someone can talk him into doing the same for a night ride up to the shack.
