There are many areas of a bike that sub-millimeter differences make a difference but I contend that in this area it is not that critical. I rode 30 miles today and never had a hitch with the seatpost. Please get down off your high horse.
I'd worry more about metal fatigue at the top of the seat tube over the next 3000 or 30,000 miles because the seat post is only fully supported there instead of along its entire length.
