Years ago (late 80's - early 90's) I worked in a shop whose owner was known to throw a customer out if the customer was in the shop compairing prices (store vs mail order). The owner really hated mail order competition. But getting back on subject -- most shops should have no problem working on any brand name bike that comes thru the door. There is enough room for all of us to make a living so take your bike to the best mechanic available.
