I just upgraded my bike to the 5700s and it was a really stupid thing to do. Only because wrenching off the old rt pedal sent the bike flying, it didn't get too far as my shin stopped the chainring.

The 105 has the metal "body cover" that likely won't wear out.
Thats the significant difference.
