I agree with the following:
rollin: "On the ride it felt quite "dead" compared to my CF (bmc promachine)."
cooleric1234: "The only bad thing he had to say was that it wasn't as comfortable as any of his carbon bikes."
My Ti bike is comfortable but my carbon bike feels smoother. Both my carbon (Giant TCR) and the aluminum (Cannondale 2.8) bikes are faster (more responsive to pedaling) than my Ti bike (my current Ti is a GT Forte; I've previously owned TST Ti frames). The comfort of the frame depends to some degree on the frame materials and tube butting since each material has its own intrinsic resonance properties. The responsiveness of the frame probably has more to do with the size/shape of the tubing; all the Ti bikes I've owned have been 1990's vintage with simple straight gauge, unshaped tubing. A modern Ti bike with manipulated tubes would probably be just as responsive as a modern aluminum or carbon bike.
Basically, the Ti bikes I've ridden have felt like steel (DB chromoly) bikes I've ridden (comfortable, not as smooth as carbon, and not as responsive as carbon or aluminum), but with a slight weight reduction.
