T-Mar and RobbieTunes: Thank you both for your input. I had an outside hope that it might be an early ProTour but the seatpost diameter sort of dashed those hopes. It does have very long chainstays, about half an inch longer than my Semi-Pro, which fits the dimensions shown in the 1979 catalog but nothing else seemed to line up.

I don't have a scale but I picked up both the Semi-Pro and the "new" bike - the putative Super LeMans is noticeably heavier, a least a couple pounds. Another nail in my coffin of hopes.

Regardless, it did ride nicely when I took it out for 25 miles this afternoon.
