Just wondering how many Blue Collar riders there are here besides me.
I'm a Roofer by trade (granted, in the "professional" side of the field
now as a Project Superintendent, but still a blue collar guy at heart).
Who else is part of the "dirty fingernail crew"?
90%+ of the people I know here in town that rides prove your statement above wrong. Although I personally do not belong to the "dirty fingernail crew" as you define it, I am yet to find that is a hinderance in any way to "fit in". Let me also add that most of the hardcore "weight weenies", "bike porn afficionados", and hardcore "posers" I have seen or know probably fall in the bottom half if not third of the income bracket of the blue collar group. It is simply what they choose to spend their money on. Most others around here, because of location and natural habitat, choose to spend insane amounts of money in beer, motorcycles, boats, cigars, and cheap loose women with multiple missing teeth.
