Also, please, if you haven't already done it, ignore calls to "modernize" the drivetrain by cold-setting the rear stays. If you really need extra gears (and you don't if you're fit) you can buy a more current used model very cheap. You'd just be vandalizing a really nice and now increasingly scarce old bike.
