I'm an airline pilot and pulled in a little less than $16,000 in 2010. So I wear a white collar at work but my income should put me somewhere in the blue collar area or below. I suppose if I flew for Jet Blue I could definitely claim blue collar status.
That's why I never went on and got my ATP, At CFI it was not much money starting out and to pay back all the flight school loans and the years to make senior pilot where the
BIG money is, I just fly for my own fun and lost the lofty goals of becoming a winged buss driver.
