Idiots sink 25-50 grand into Harleys desperately trying to cover them in gay looking chrome so they can look just like every other Harley on the road. Then they get idiotic straight pipes, tell people it's for "safety", and wear no helmet or a half helmet, no safety gear, and ride drunk. Leather vests covered in little pins and patches... odd group of people. *real* motorcycles can corner, brake, and accelerate with brute force. Harleys just look shiny and sound like poop. Harley riders would probably kill themselves trying to duck-walk a real bike out of a pirate bar after drinking American macro swill all night long. Luckily their Harleys have no power and can't corner so they are less likely to hurt themselves due to lack of skill.

First of all, 90% of motorcyclists are friggin idiots. The 17-25 year olds are even more stupid, as evidenced by their alarming motorcycle death rates on the road.
Are Harleys dumb? In some ways I suppose. Are the owners dumb? Some of them. But I think most of them know what they're getting and not getting with a Harley vs. some higher performance motorcycle. High performance motorcycles have a different feel, look, style, etc. than a HD. What's wrong with that? The really dumb thing is the 'loud pipes save lives', the half helmets, etc., the anti-helmet law lobbying, etc.
