As to Stevie Ray, his brother (Jimmy, IIRC) also plays some pretty neat stuff.
Haven't listened to too much Van Morrison, so I don't have an opinion there. 
Punk is good, but I like Industrial more. Gives me more of that ass-whoopin' feelin'.
george Thorogood was a revelation when I first heard him.On the `Christine' sound track I think. I haven;t heard of him for years good to hear he's still going strong. I bought every album I could track down which was about 5 I think.I'll have to rake them out and give them another listen.
If you feel like checking out Van the man I can recommend the track `Listen to the lion' its my favorite track, fades out for ages and carrys me away out of this world.
