There is nothing wrong with the anti-helmet law lobbying. It's not the government's business whether you want to be a moron and ride without a helmet. Unlike the pipes that seemingly every pirate puts on their Harley, the lack of a helmet only affects the rider (and his family when he dies in a minor collision where a helmet, armored jacket, *real* moto boots, and gauntlets would have saved him from major injury).

I think Harleys are awful, boring motorcycles (yes I have thousands of miles of experience riding them) but in general I keep my opinions to myself. I just hate when the "real motorcycle" argument comes out. Apparently real motorcycles aren't supposed to have any modicum of performance and must be slathered in Liberace-approved chrome, not to mention the gyno exam table riding position.
